The word heather actually is derived from the word hather which is middle English and means an open land covered with heather and or moss. While the most common colour associated with wild heather is purple, the plant has been cultivated into different colours. The symbolism of the heather plant is rich and steeped in history. One of the sweetest legends of Scottish folklore is that heather only grows where fairies have been.

I placed an online order with the Calgary Canada Flowers. You know how you look at all the arrangements and you finally find the perfect one.....and you place the order and since you are hundreds of miles away you are not going to see what it will looks like...and you wait and wonder and hope that it will be something close to what you wanted....or at least nice..... I ordered the flowers online, and it was a seamless experience from start to finish. I even did the *add on* with a box of chocolates...I got a call on the morning of the date of delivery from our local Flower Shop, and they made the delivery, plus the Flowers were beautiful, exactly what I ordered! So many beautiful choices. The one we chose came with the same white vase and the most beautiful arrangement of white flowers I have ever seen.
